Murchison Middle School begins each student’s secondary experience with a focus on language development, cultural perspectives, and global awareness. A rigorous curriculum with a plethora of learning experiences, technology applications, and community service is the cornerstone of Murchison. High academic expectations are the standard for all students, and advanced Pre-AP classes and high school credit courses provide the rigor for students who pursue higher level achievement.

WELCOME TO AVID! AVID is the acronym for Advancement Via Individual Determination. It is a college preparatory course whose mission is "to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society." At Murchison, we are proud to be a National AVID Highly Certified Site!

Library Book Suggestions Book Trailers Intellectual Freedom and Self Selection Welcome to the Matador Library, where reading, learning, and collaboration come to life! The library open hours are Monday thru Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. There are times when the library will be closed before and after school due to meetings and trainings.
