Mathematics

Students will learn mathematical concepts, investigate patterns, communicate their understanding, and apply math in real life contexts through their studies of a range of topics. Below are our math offerings with some of the content:

6th grade math

rational number concepts and operations; ratios, rates, and percents; data and statistics; expressions, equations, and inequalities, multiple representations, triangle properties, and personal financial literacy.

7th grade math

data; rational number operations; ratios, rates, and percents; equations, inequalities, and multiple representations; similarity; two-dimensional figures; surface area; volume; and personal and financial literacy.

8th grade math

numerical reasoning, solving equations and inequalities; measurement; two-dimensional figures and transformations; dilations and similarity; functions, slope, and y intercept; linear functions; Pythagorean Theorem; probability; and personal and financial literacy.

Algebra 1

solving linear equations and inequalities with one variable, graphing linear functions, writing and graphing linear inequalities with two variables, properties of exponents and polynomial expressions, factoring, and quadratic functions.

Geometry

conditional statements and logical arguments, relationships in triangles, quadrilaterals and polygons, similarities and transformations, circles, area, and geometry of three-dimensional objects.
